History of our company
This junior fire company was the brain child of former Wolcott Fire Chief Charles Marsella. Then Chief Marsella recommended the formation of a junior fire company to enhance recruitment for the all volunteer department. In November of 1999, a steering committee was formed to begin the process of developing a junior fire company. A number of informational meetings were held throughout the town to attract and inform potential candidates.On March of 2000 the first members of this junior fire company received thier badges and the start of this company was offcial. |

Company # 4 General Information
Company # 4 membership meet each Monday night to participate in training drills. The structure of this company is similair to the structure of the regular fire companys in town. On the second Monday of each month Company # 4 members meet to address company business matters.
Company # 4 is affilliated with the Boy Scouts of America as an official post with the BSA Explorer program. Our explorer post is # 166. We receive funding through the Wolcott Vol. Fire Department budget in the form of a line item. The company also conducts fund raisers to off-set expenses.
